Here are some tips on how you can get ready for your first floral consultation and make the most of your time with us:

PREPARE

Before you even come to the consultation, make sure you know your budget, floral quantities, and have your color scheme nailed down. We always recommend bringing reference photos because you may have a great idea in your head, but having visuals helps OKOTA see what you’re dreaming of! Doing research beforehand, whether it’s learning about a realistic budget (flowers can be expensive depending on the type) or figuring out affordable alternatives, it can help the consultation run more smoothly.

OKOTA customizes every floral proposal to meet your needs and budget to the best of our ability. Typically, this means that our quotes are $1000 and up, but keep in mind other types of floral arrangements too! If you’re also getting centerpieces, plan for these to bring the total closer to $2000 and up (depending on the centerpiece style and amount of course).

To give you an idea of what the average bride spends on flowers, The Knot recommends allocating about 8% of your wedding budget towards flowers. However, many factors can affect this, such as whether the flowers are in season, size of the bridal party, and the types of arrangements you're wanting for things like centerpieces etc.
